Solar Landscape installs, energizes 562-kW Rooftop PV over New Jersey Distributorship
Commercial real state developer J.G. Petrucci Co. contracted Solar Landscape to install and energize 562 kW of rooftop panels atop a distributorship facility in New Jersey.
The distributed energy project in Monroe was completed at the 132,000-square-foot building owned by Petrucci. It is forecast to generate 706,620 kWh to offset the electric consumption of building tenant L&R Distributors, which stores and moves products in the supermarket, pharmacy and beauty sectors.
“After conveying our interest in completing this project with J.G. Petrucci, it became clear that the partnership between our three companies (including Solar Landscape) would become integral to its success,” David Faust, vice president of operations at L&R Distributors, said in a statement. “We knew that we were eager to support this project to offset the carbon footprint of our operations, but we got an unexpected benefit out of the process in a solid partner that we whop will guide future solar projects, as well.”
Brooklyn, New York-based L&R has distribution centers also in Spanish Springs, Nevada and Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
Solar Landscape is based out of Asbury Park, New Jersey. The 11-year-old company has provided free solar power for the school system there and, in 2020, the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities awarded 20,358 MW of capacity for the company to install as part of the state’s Community Solar Energy Pilot Program.
Overall, Solar Landscape has installed more than 300,000 panels amidst multiple community solar projects.
