E-mobility charging infrastructure firm EVgo Inc. and Toyota Motor North America have agreed on a deal providing many of the automaker’s new electric SUV customers with complimentary charging for one year.
The deal would give a free charging pass to drivers of the new Toyota bZ4X battery electric model at EVgo’s nationwide network of public fast chargers. The EV charging systems are powered by renewable energy, according to the company.
“We’re thrilled to be collaborating with Toyota to get more drivers to go electric,” Jonathan Levy, Evgo chief commercial officer, said. “EVgo is excited to create an exemplary customer experience for Toyota’s bZ4X drivers out of the gate, and this business deal is a testament to the confidence partners have in the reliability and scale of our charging solutions.”
