Shyft Group chooses Proterra battery technology for Blue Arc EV van

The Blue Arc delivery van is a battery-electric Class-3 commercial delivery vehicle. The all-electric Blue Arc chassis can be adapted to last-mile delivery, work truck, mass transit, recreational vehicle, and other emerging EV markets

The Shyft Group has signed a multi-year supply agreement with Proterra to secure Proterra’s battery technology for integration into its Blue Arc electric delivery van and EV chassis.

The Proterra Powered battery systems are made in the U.S. The Proterra Powered H-Series battery system provide a range of approximately 150 to 175 miles on a single charge for a Blue Arc electric delivery van. The battery systems have built-in safety mechanisms and have been subjected to rigorous testing to ensure their ability to withstand the toughest conditions.

The Blue Arc delivery van is a battery-electric Class-3 commercial delivery vehicle. The all-electric Blue Arc chassis can be adapted to last-mile delivery, work truck, mass transit, recreational vehicle, and other emerging EV markets.

The production of the first Blue Arc delivery vans is expected to start by mid-2023.
