Taiwanese electronics and power management firm Delta has deployed its electric vehicle charging infrastructure solution at its EMEA headquarters in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands.
The solution deployed at the green building includes a 50-kW rooftop solar PV system, which can generate approximately 42,300 kWh of green electricity annually. The facility also has 16 AC/DC chargers that can charge 24 EVs, a Battery Energy Storage System with 293 kWh capacity, a Power Conditioning System with 100 kW output power for battery charging & discharging, and peak shaving and the DeltaGrid EVM for managing EV charging.
The deployment will demonstrate how Delta's solutions will help facility managers at shopping malls, offices, hotels and other commercial buildings meet the increasing EV charging demand and ease the impact on facility energy infrastructure and the electricity grid.
At the headquarters, the building’s efficiency should benefit from a diversified energy mix and well-managed EV charging. It will result in an approximately 15% reduction in the building’s annual energy consumption.
