Hydraulic fracturing services firm U.S. Well Services has entered into a long-term contract with Appalachian oil and natural gas exploration and production firm Olympus Energy to provide electric pressure pumping services.

USWS will operate a natural-gas powered Clean Fleet for Olympus Energy under the contract through 2022 and for two more years if optional extensions are exercised.

USWS CEO Joel Broussard said that the Clean Fleet technology will help the oil and gas firm achieve its environmental goals and secure fuel savings, while providing important health, safety and environmental benefits. The Clean Fleet technology is a fully electric, mobile well stimulation system.
