Nikkiso wins contracts for Hydrogen stations in South Korea and California
Japanese firm Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group is awarded multiple contracts to provide over a dozen Hydrogen Fueling Stations to customers in South Korea and California.
The new stations are expected to begin operations in the fourth quarter of 2023 and the second quarter of 2024. The stations will provide fuel for light-duty, heavy-duty, and transit fuel cell vehicles that need H35 and H70 dispensing.
The orders have a combined value of $60 million.
"As an ambassador member of the California Fuel Cell Partnership (“CaFCP”) and core leader of cryogenic technology, Nikkiso is key in connecting the hydrogen ecosystem to advance the clean energy agenda," said Peter Wagner, CEO of Nikkiso CE&IG.
Nikkiso will mass produce hydrogen fueling stations in Murrieta and Escondido in California, Busan in South Korea and Neuenbürg in Germany, dedicated some 150,000 ft2 of floor space. Each station will comply with the local requirements, including the Buy America Act for the US Hydrogen Hub market.
In the future, Nikkiso Group plans on expanding its hydrogen-related business by increasing participation in the hydrogen supply chain and expanding into the global market.
