Envision Energy, a global green technology company, and DHL Group, a logistics company, are partnering together to collaborate on multiple projects to achieve sustainability targets, including Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), integrated logistics, green energy solutions, and the joint development of a Net Zero Industrial Park.
To start, Envision will provide SAF to DHL to help the company achieve net zero-emission logistics by 2050 and increase its SAF blend to more than 30% by 2030. The partnership will also explore the diversification of renewable feedstock sources and technology roadmaps to improve decarbonization in the aviation and air transportation sectors.
"The aviation sector is currently trailing targets largely due to high costs associated with green hydrocarbons and their derivatives,” said Lei Zhang, Chairman of Envision. “Envision, through systemic innovation, is able to reduce cost and revolutionize the production of SAF at scale to accelerate the global industrialization of the new oil."
While Envision will support DHL's renewable energy transition goals, DHL will serve as Envision's preferred logistics partner. DHL will deploy fully integrated logistics solutions to improve efficiency and quality, ensuring smooth global supply chain management and comprehensive support in navigating regulatory requirements and operational challenges.
Finally, Envision and DHL will jointly develop a Net Zero Industrial & Logistics Park to create more sustainable solutions across multiple industries and add collaborative value. The model comprises green energy production with load management to promote the construction of renewable energy systems and advance the green industrial ecosystem.
The park, already launched in Asia and parts of Europe and the Middle East by Envision, will expand its global footprint with the support of DHL and provide solutions for worldwide zero-carbon transformation.
"By leveraging our unparalleled logistics expertise and unique global network, we are committed to supporting Envision in their international expansion and logistical challenges." added Tobias Meyer, Chief Executive Officer at DHL Group. "Together, we will lead the change in integrating green technologies and optimizing supply chains, setting new benchmarks for sustainable innovation and global environmental impact through the energy transition."
