Clean energy investment fund SolRiver Capital has announced the completion of the Green Project, a community solar project with a capacity of 3.7 MW in Jefferson County, Oregon.

This project marks the first of SolRiver’s six installations within a 21 MW portfolio that will participate in the Oregon Community Solar Program, the company said. The project was designed and built by Konisto Companies, which is expected to bring the remaining five projects online by the end of 2024.

The Oregon community can now subscribe to the Green Project, which will supply clean energy to 750 residents and help avoid 2,755 metric tons of CO2 emissions.

“We have full confidence that this project and the upcoming ones will create job opportunities, lower energy costs for residents, and contribute to Oregon’s broader clean energy objectives,” said Nick Gazzolo, Partner at SolRiver Capital.

“The completion of Project Green signals our commitment to bringing the rest of SolRiver’s portfolio to operation so that the people of Oregon may benefit from the Oregon Community Solar Program,” said Christopher Sill, President of Konisto.
