The three projects, located across England and Scotland, are anticipated to be operational in 2025

Elgin Energy, an international solar and storage developer, has agreed to sell three solar PV projects to Pennon Power, a subsidiary of Pennon Group.

The projects, located across England and Scotland, have a combined capacity of 100 MW and represent an estimated capital investment of $100 million (abou 85 million Euros). Each of those will range in the 15 to 50 MW range.

All projects are anticipated to be operational in 2025.

The portfolio will contribute to the U.K.’s 2050 Net Zero Strategy Strategy by producing low-cost, low-carbon electricity, supplying zero-carbon electricity to homes across the U.K., and creating regional economic development.

“We are excited about this milestone and the positive impact it will have on our mission to achieve a greener, more sustainable world. We remain committed to spearheading transformative change and forging strategic partnerships to accelerate progress towards a carbon-neutral future,” commented Susan Davy, CEO of Pennon Group.

The three projects will be built at Buckinghamshire, Aberdeenshire, and Cumbria.

Elgin Energy CEO Ronan Kilduff said his company will continue with its development of about 14 GW of planned projects across the region.
