Matrix Renewables and rPlus Energies Introduce 200 MWac Solar Project in Idaho

Sept. 15, 2023
The project, expected to create about 220 construction jobs, will support Meta's new data center in Kuna

Matrix Renewables and rPlus Energies have inaugurated a 200 MWac/261 MWdc solar project named Pleasant Valley Solar in Ada County, Idaho. The project will deliver output into the same grid supporting Meta's new data center in Kuna, Idaho, once operational.

While Matrix Renewables has acquired a majority of the stake in Pleasant Valley Solar from rPlus Energies, the latter still holds a minority interest in the project.

The project is not only expected to create about 220 construction-related jobs but will also appoint local vendors during construction, thereby generating revenue in the area and helping local businesses.

Sundt Renewables will provide engineering, procurement, and construction services, Nextracker will offer racking, BODEC will come with high-voltage electrical contracting services, and ET Solar will help deliver solar modules for the project.
