Printing and shipping firm Rollo has unveiled its electrified delivery fleet in Las Vegas.

According to the company, Las Vegas EV Fleet is a carbon-friendly solution for last-mile logistics and will provide free pick-up for legacy carriers, GPS tracking, and same-day delivery of packages within the city.

The solution will offer pickups for all carriers and a $5 flat-rate fee for Vegas-to-Vegas deliveries. Las Vegas will serve as the first test market for Rollo, which plans to expand the service into other major cities in the future.

Rollo notes that it will use an entirely electric vehicle fleet as part of its mission to minimize its carbon footprint and make last-mile delivery more environmentally sustainable.  Customers can access these services through the Rollo app, without the need for a Rollo printer or shipping materials.

“We are bringing legacy shipping into the 21st century, which of course includes using electric vehicles to prove that shipping can and should be painless for everyone, including the environment,” said Kevin Faro, Founder and CEO of Rollo. “Industry predictions are forecasting a 36% rise in the number of delivery vehicles in the world’s top 100 cities by 2030, leading to an emissions increase of over 30%."

The global e-commerce segment is growing by 23% per year, with nearly 300 billion parcels expected to be delivered annually by 2026, according to the company.

Apart from its delivery service, Rollo offers a shipping app and an ink-free wireless label printer.
