PureSky Energy Launches 18th Community Solar Farm in New York to Advance Sustainability of Local Hospitals
PureSky Energy, a provider of sustainable energy solutions, announced the operational launch of a new community solar farm project in Gouverneur, New York, making this the eighteenth PureSky site to be located within the state.
The 5,225 kW ASA Gouverneur NY Solar II project features more than 13,500 high-efficiency solar panels that will produce over 6,000,000 kWh annually and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 9,900,000 pounds each year.
The project also highlights a significant milestone in PureSky’s efforts to partner with businesses operating in the community. Through this project, Albany Med Health System’s Columbia Memorial and Glens Falls Hospitals have become anchor subscribers of the project and will benefit from long-term operating cost savings while advancing their sustainable practices.
“Community solar is intended to assist every part of the community, from a residential customer to a small business owner, and we are so pleased that Glen Falls Hospital, which serves 20+ communities in New York, is an anchor customer of this farm,” said Nicole LeBlanc, COO at PureSky Energy.
The Gouverneur NY Solar II farm exemplifies economic and environmental progress, underscoring PureSky Energy's commitment towards a sustainable future while also providing significant social and economic growth through local jobs and tax generation. PureSky has additional anchor capacity available for upcoming community solar projects.
